Seventeen sailors from drug busting ship HMS Cumberland, a Royal Navy type 22 Frigate affiliated with Batchworth Sea Scouts, have successfully retrained to carry out one of the most important Royal Navy roles – boarding suspect vessels around the world.
Type 22 frigate HMS Cumberland will deploy on operations later this year. And whether it is to the North Atlantic, Caribbean or the Middle East, her crew has received the best possible training for the job at the Board and Search School, run by 1 Assault Group Royal Marines, at naval training establishment HMS Raleigh in Cornwall.
