THE SNAKE MAN

NiSnakesck Bessant, an expert on snakes came along to show the Beavers and Cubs some of his pet snakes on Thursday 15th July.

He brought along a number of live exhibits to thrill the audience these including a corn snake, a milk snake, male and female Indian sand snakes (the female is 10 times the size of the male), a Brazilian rainbow snake and a Royal Python. The exhibits were in travelling cages kept inside black bags. They were introduced one at a time from their travelling boxes. The colours were brilliant!

There was a really good turn out for this event from the beavers and cubs. There were some beavers whose parents thought they wouldn't enjoy the session, but they were wrong! Some of the more adventurous children even draped the snakes round their necks!
