
Seven Scouts and four Explorer Scouts disappeared into the New Forest this summer. Whilst there, they discovered they could all climb walls, scamper along balance beams 10m off the ground, abseil from 12m high platforms, drive powerboats at speed and control an 11m sailing vessel with ease. Some even discovered they could do all that with one foot in plaster! Scouting doesn’t get much more adventurous than our annual summer camps, where several months of preparation result in an action packed week of fun challenging activities.
