Badges All Round as Scouts Dig into Aviation History

What do you do on a cold, damp and grey Saturday in February? Visit a museum of course! Hence 16 Scouts from Batchworth found themselves at the excellent RAF Museum in Hendon recently exploring the many aircraft on display. Adding to the purpose was a quiz sheet created by the museum which guides the Scouts through tasks and results in the award of the ‘Air Researchers Badge’.

Other visitors may even have overheard some of our knowledgeable members debating the differences between the Spitfire and the Hurricane fighters, shown on display behind our group photo.
